ORGANIZED BY THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF SUSSEX HIGHLANDS & CO-SPONSORED BY SUSSEX COUNTY NOW

The League of Women Voters of Sussex Highlands (LWVSH) presented a KEEPING FAMILIES TOGETHER CANDLELIGHT VIGIL, Friday, June 29th at 7 p.m. on the Newton Green.  The focus of this vigil was to come together locally to stand in solidarity with all families facing injustice during immigration.

The vigil marked the eve of various solidarity events, including marches and rallies, that took place in NJ and across the nation.

The vigil was co-sponsored by:
• Sussex County NOW (National Organization for Women)
• Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Sussex County
• Northern New Jersey Jewish Voice for Peace
• Skylands District United Methodist Women Leadership Team
• Sparta UMC (United Methodist Church) Church & Society Committee

• Litsa Binder, Peace and Justice Activist
• Reverend Kristina “Tina” Reyes, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
• Reverend Mary Tiebout, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Sussex County
• Lauren Jones-Rabbitt, Unitarian Universalist Religious Education Director
