OUR SPEAKERS

Our primary goal with this event is to center local LGBTQ+ voices and to spread awareness regarding local organizations that offer resources to our LGBTQ+ community.  Come join us on Saturday, June 23rd to hear from all of these awesome people!

KAILEY DENZER-WEILER

Kailey is currently running for Hampton Township Committee and is working to establish the new program Pride in Action.

REBEKAH & JAMIE BRUESEHOFF

Jamie is a writer, speaker, and human rights advocate. She is a pastor’s wife and mom to three spirited children including an 11 year old transgender daughter, Rebekah. She is passionate about sharing her family’s story, because she believes our stories are bridges to understanding, compassion, and celebration. Jamie writes about life, advocacy, self care, parenting, faith, and more on her blog www.iamtotallythatmom.com

Rebekah is the powerful young leader who inspires all of Jamie’s work, and an accomplished activist and speaker herself. She and her mom have traveled far and wide to share Rebekah’s inspiring testimony and we’re so excited to amplify her voice here at home!

JENNIFER WHITLOCK

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the Director of the True Colors Center for Creative Therapy in Newton, where she provides creative therapies such as psychodrama, art therapy and play therapy. The Center also specializes in providing support for members of the local LGBTQ+ community through group therapy and other programs. IMOGEN MYSLINSKI

Imogen is a writing teacher at Sussex County Charter School for Technology and has been the faculty advisor for their Gay-Straight Alliance for two years.

KATIE HERTZ

Katie is a sophomore at Vernon Township High School and is the Historian of the VTHS Gay-Straight Alliance. Protests and marches are her favorite thing because she feels like she’s making a difference!

Valéríe is a student at Vernon Township High School whose activism affects her every day life. As a member of the schoolś Gay-Straight Alliance, Valéríe is actively helping make her school an even better place.
